BLUE PIGEON

They flock together everywhere
Uninvited
At the alley, on the sills
Below the canopy, along the corridors
The hallway reverberating
With their fluttering wings
The fear, camouflaging as pigeons
Had made their nest in me, long back
They flew, uninterruptedly at the
Depth of my mind
Their each moment startled me
The cooing pulls me like a magnet
And I fall pray to their magic
The assault is so sudden as you
Feel all stripped and shattered.
What I need was peace and silence
To run away from their constant flapping
But they where everywhere
Inside me their heart pulsated
Outside they rose in thousands
How will I shoo them away?
How to clean the stains and start again?
I tried my hands at many things-.
Meditation, prayer, music, books,
Friends, journey…
Every time they came back and
Stared at me with their blue eyes
That was when she came with a proposal
I can make your fears fly far beyond
The pigeons can fly, never to return
Her eyes were gleaming
Lips soft and red
The enchanting smile was inviting
I could not refuse her proposal
As I watched, she folded her hands
From them appeared a blue pigeon
With a prayer she set the blue pigeon free
As it touched my heart I heard
The flapping of thousand wings
One by one the fear took their wings
To fly out to the vast blue sky
With the blue pigeon leading them
I sat there with absolute peace
Filled with music of silence
No fear, flapping or fluttering
Then the blue pigeon came back
I gazed into her eyes and asked
Who are you?
She lovingly held me close and said
Love has no name.
